    Chicago Executive Airport
One Of The Busiest In The World

Prospect Heights/Wheeling, Illinois May 29, 2008 According to Aviation International News, and data complied by Connecticut - based research firm Forecast International, Chicago Executive Airport (formerly Palwaukee Municipal) is amoung the busiest business aviation airports in the world, ranking 40th amoung world-wide business aviation airports.

"Aviation International News speculates that perhaps our recent name change, which now clearly indicates our status in the Chicago region, is in part responsible for CEA making the list for the first time," says airport manager Dennis Rouleau.

"It's been self-evident, from the outset, that the airport has always been a potent economic engine for the Chicago Metropolitan area. In recent years, however, Chicago Executive's importance to the entire region has dramaticall increased." Rouleau continues. "We are definitely on the world-wide map and operating on a global scale. Our recent name change reflects Chicago Executive Airport's increased regional, national and international prominence."

With 294 aircraft based on the field and over 110,000 annual aircraft operations, Chicago Executive substantially reduces the demand for corporate activity at nearby O'Hare International Airport. As congestion and load factors have increased, Chicago Executive has become increasingly important to Midwest, National and International and business concerns.

A recent study, conducted by Wilber Smith Associates, a full service transportation and infrastructure consulting firm reported, through an analysis of activities at Chicago Executive Airport, that the combined annual economic impact of the airport's operation, visitors and multiplier impacts, amount to over $330 million in total economic activity. Of that, $124 million is paid in earnings to 2,426 jobs. The 73 firms and agencies located at the airport generate an impressive #128.1 million in direct aviation related dollars.
