Suggested Airport Entry/Exit Routes Through the Chicago Executive Airport Class D Airspace
Due to the compressed nature of Chicago Executive Airport's airspace and the heavy volume of traffic using airspace northwest of the field, it has been recommended by local pilot groups that the following procedures be used for entry to and exit from the Chicago Executive Airport.

When Runway 24 and/or 30 are active:
- Arrivals may use an area between Milwaukee Ave. (US RT 45) and a 020 bearing from Chicago Executive Airport.
- Departures may use the area between the north/south railroad tracks just west of the field and a 300 bearing from Chicago Executive Airport.

When Runway 6 and/or 12 are active:
- Arrivals may use the area between the north/south railroad tracks just west of the field and a 300 bearing from Chicago Executive Airport.
- Departures may use an area between Milwaukee Ave (US RT 45) and a 020 bearing from Chicago Executive Airport.

At all times:
- The ILS approach course is an inbound route used only with the permission of ATC.
- When crossing the Northbrook VOR, remember IFR traffic on the ILS RWY 16 to Chicago Executive Airport are at 2300. We suggest a VFR altitude of 1800 or lower.

These route suggestions do not affect east and west arrivals/departures. This procedure is meant to eliminate or greatly reduce opposite direction traffic flow northwest of the airport and separate piston powered VFR traffic from faster turbojet arrivals.
